Reach Higher is an initiative created by former First Lady Michelle Obama with the aim of inspiring every student in America to take charge of their future by continuing and completing their education after high school, whether at a professional training program, a community college, or a four-year college or university. The Texas Challenge to Reach Higher aligns with the goals of the state higher education plan 60x30TX, to help all students achieve their educational goals, which in turn, will help Texas remain globally competitive for years to come.
In Texas, a group of educators, organization representatives and policy makers have come together to form Texas Challenge to Reach Higher to spearhead efforts to bring the Reach Higher initiative to schools and organizations across the Lonestar state who are in a position to make commitments which help more students obtain post-secondary education.
